Trend Research Intern

Research how fashion trends emerge, evolve, and move from early cultural signals into real products.

As a Trend Research Intern, you will be involved in the day-to-day work of fashion trend analysis, combining cultural observation with structured research. Your tasks will include monitoring global fashion media, runway shows, and brand activity; tracking social platforms to identify emerging aesthetics, silhouettes, colours, and styling cues; and analysing search behaviour and consumer sentiment to understand what is gaining traction.

You will support the identification and classification of trends — from early signals to mainstream adoption — and help map how trends evolve over time. This includes tagging and analysing visual imagery, contributing to trend summaries, supporting competitive and market research, and translating raw signals into clear insights used by designers, merchandisers, and planners.

You will also work with our research tools, learning how technology supports trend discovery, pattern recognition, and validation without replacing creative judgment.

What you will learn
  • How fashion trends emerge, peak, and decline across culture, consumers, and the market
  • How to analyse runway imagery, brand collections, and social content at scale
  • How trend insight is structured and used in real planning and commercial decisions
  • How AI is applied in fashion research as a creative support tool
  • How to communicate trend insight clearly to design and merchandising teams
Who should apply
  • Students or recent graduates in fashion design, fashion communication, trend studies, marketing, or related fields
  • Curious, visually driven thinkers with a strong interest in culture, fashion, and consumer behaviour
  • Comfortable working with images, research tools, and digital platforms
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and excited to learn how fashion works beyond the studio
